  • Pinch will launch his second label compilation by taking over We Fear Silence's main room next weekend. One of the chief players in Bristol's dubstep scene, Pinch has slowly cemented his place in the city's musical history with his Tectonic imprint, building up a varied stable of dubstep artists as well as showcasing his own production prowess. His parties in his home city have already achieved near-legendary status, but next Friday will see him bring the imprint's brand of chest rattling bassweight to the capital for a show at The Arches to launch the Tectonic Plates Vol. 2 release. Tectonic regulars 2562, Moving Ninja and Cyrus will be joined by Vol. 1 contributors Distance and Hijak, whilst Joker and Punch Drunk owner Peverelist will be there to represent Bristol with their disparate takes on the sound. Jamie from Vex'd will be getting wonky with his new solo direction, whilst dubstep commentator Martin "Blackdown" Clark will round off the line-up in the main arch with a back-to-back set with production partner Dusk. The second arch has been curated by Warp Records' download retailer Bleep, and will feature a veritable smorgasbord of acts from the new wave of instrumental hip-hoppers. Rinse FM's Alexander Nut will be joined behind the decks by Floating Points, Bullion and Paul White, whilst drum & bass is the order of the day in arch three from London's Future Thinkin' crew. Revellers hankering for an evening of forward thinking bass pressure can purchase their tickets directly from the event page.
