  • Sinner DC are set to release their fourth full-length next month. The trio, comprised of Genevan musicians Julien Amey, Steve Mamie and Manuel Bravo, have been pushing their evocative electronica since 2001, merging their sweeping soundscapes with drum machines and minimal vocals to create their own heady brew of shoegaze, techno and post-rock. Crystallized is the group's second album for Jason Smith's Ai Records, which has previously released material from Claro Intelecto, Mariel Ito and Brian Aneurysm. Fans of artists like M83 and Ulrich Schnauss are likely to dig the skyscraping synth work and melancholic textures which are prevalent on the record, but there are also a couple of poppier moments such as "Glass Alley," where the act's throbbing synths and strings are met with a warm, yearning vocal track. Vinyl fans are unfortunately out of luck, however, as Ai are currently planning to release Crystallized on CD format only. Tracklist 01. Go For The Stream 02. Anyway 03. Golden Horses 04. The Medium Is The Message 05. V 06. Sunrized 07. Glass Alley 08. Digital Dust 09. Coast Ai Records will release Crystallized on April 20th, 2009.
