- The disco loving imprint will compile its best bits in March with tracks from Terje, Prins Thomas and more.
The disco lovers over at Tirk have a treat for you: They'll be collecting some of their greatest bits and bobs next month for their second label compilation, Tirk 02.
The imprint, which has consistently pushed the nu-disco likes of Morten Sorensen, Hedford Vachal, Arcade Lover and more will be going the comp route for the first in nearly three years. Since then, of course, the electronic music world has seemingly fallen back in love with the genre, propelling Hercules & Love Affair, Prins Thomas and Todd Terje to the forefront of this nebulous scene. (Coincidentally, all three show up on the two-disc compilation, remixing or reediting a track in the label's catalogue.) While no tracks seem to be exclusive here, this is the first time that the majority have made their way to CD—making this a valuable compilation for the home listener not yet hip to the whole mp3 thing.
