It's not just a New York thing anymore: The disco renaissance has been bubbling up for a few years now, but Azuli will thrust it even further into the limelight when they release Future Disco in March.
The label is claiming that it's the first compilation of its kind, which we find hard to believe, but that's hardly the point because the lineup here looks to be a solid one: Aeroplane, Holy Ghost!, Hercules & Love Affair and many more will feature in this mix helmed by Sean Brosnan. Azuli has said that the mix "has been re-edited and mixed thus the result is a completely unique take on all of the tracks," which will perhaps be a relief to those already intimately familiar with the contents therein. For those who aren't, it should provide an excellent roadmap to some of the key players in this burgeoning subgenre
