  • Support is growing in the effort to save Strongroom studios. Since Leon Vynehall drew attention to the threat facing the London studio complex, a slew of artists and members of the greater music community have pledged support. The likes of Caribou, The Black Madonna and Erol Alkan called on followers to sign the petition to save the studio, which they have all worked in. Institutions like Ninja Tune and fabric have also lent a voice to the effort. Strongroom has been operating in Shoreditch for more than 30 years and has been used by the likes of Björk, Radiohead and The Chemical Brothers. Planned developments threaten the studios along with 18 other businesses using the site. You can sign the petition here. Another Shoreditch studio space, Red Gallery, is closing at the end of the month after eight years in operation.
