- Dozens of clubs and parties will come together to disrupt the May 27th rally, which is run by the German political party AfD.
Reclaim Club Culture, a leftwing collective of Berlin-based clubs and parties, is spearheading plans to stage a protest rave during a far-right march on Sunday, May 27th.
The march, run by the German political party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), could attract more than 10,000 people from across Germany, which would make it one of the largest far-right rallies in recent years.
A number of counterprotests are planned, including Reclaim Club Culture's daytime demo, which will see representatives from dozens of clubs and parties gather in the central borough of Mitte with soundsystems and a positive message. Venues such as ://about blank, Prince Charles, OHM, Sisyphos and Tresor are among those involved.
"We are not willing to tolerate the continuous pressure from the far right against simply everything the Berlin club scene is representing," an anonymous source told Resident Advisor. "So we invite everyone to crash their march on May 27th with a musical demonstration."
