  • Puma is releasing TR-808 running shoes in collaboration with Roland. The shoes, which are black with colour accents inspired by the original drum machine, art part of a reboot of Puma's classic '80s line RS (or RUNNING SYSTEM). They also feature TR-808 Rhythm Controller branding on the heel. As CDM reports, the RS reboot includes other collaborations with Polaroid and Sega. There's no concrete info on the release date yet or when they will be available in stores. Puma's move this week is only the latest in a trend of Roland-branded apparel, following the appearance of 808-branded T-shirts on UNIQLO's webstore (alongside a Technics SL-1200 shirt).
Last year, a company called Neelys & Daughters partnered with Adidas on an 808 shoe, though they weren't available for purchase.
