  • Elektron has revealed a new synthesizer called the Digitone. The new digital polyphonic synth features eight voices with multiple FM algorithms. As a sequencer, it's capable of running four synth tracks and four MIDI tracks with polyphonic sequencing and one arpeggiator per track. Delay, chorus, reverb and overdrive are available on sends. The synth itself features a small OLED screen, two each of audio inputs and outputs, along with MIDI in, out and thru to allow use of the Digitone for sequencing external hardware. The Digitone is priced at 7800 SEK, or just under €800, making it another more affordable Elektron product following in the footsteps of last year's Digitakt. It also comes with 512 presets, from classic FM presets to soundscapes designed by the likes of Mark Fell and Blush Response. Watch a promo video about the Digitone.
The Digitone is available now through Elektron.
