The journalist Matthew Collin has announced his latest book.
Rave On: Global Adventures In Electronic Dance Music examines dance music's ascendant position as a global phenomenon and multimillion-pound industry. Collin surveys a broad range of scenes—from established party destinations like Ibiza to emerging undergrounds in Shanghai and Dubai. Rave On, out on January 11th, also features material on techno heartlands such as Detroit and Berlin, and the LGBTQ scene in New York.
Collin has written several books on dance music. The best known is 1997's Altered State, a widely acclaimed exploration of acid house and ecstasy culture.
