The Technics SL-1200GR is available to purchase.
The turntable was scheduled to ship in April but hit retailers in July, a Panasonic spokesman told Resident Advisor. The SL-1200GR, which retails for around $1600, is a cheaper successor to the SL-1200G, which was released last year and sells for over $4000. The SL-1200GR was announced back in January at the CES 2017 tech trade show in Las Vegas following claims that Technics had turned its back on the DJ culture that gave the original deck its cultural capital, targeting instead the high-end audiophile market.
