  • Ableton has announced a first list of artists, educators and other guests appearing at this year's Loop summit in Berlin. Set to take place at Funkhaus Berlin from November 10th through 12th, it'll be the third annual edition of Loop. Jlin, Machinedrum, William Basinski and the Discwoman collective are all part of the program. Susan Rogers, a university professor and audio engineer who's worked with Prince and David Byrne, will give a keynote talk. Mandy Parnell, a mastering engineer for the likes of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and Björk, is confirmed as well, along with The Nile Project, an African music and sustainability coalition aimed at supporting the Nile River. The summit's first announced technology partners are LEAF Audio and Teenage Engineering. Loop will also team with the club Tresor for night-time programming drawing on artists from the daytime schedule. Further details for that and the rest of the weekend are still TBA.
