  • Horse Meat Disco's debut single, Waiting For You To Call, is out later this month. Horse Meat Disco, the UK-based DJ collective made up of James Hillard, Jim Stanton, Luke Howard and Severino Panzetta, have been running their popular queer party for 14 years. They've also put out a series of compilations, and in 2009 opened a label of the same name that to date has been home to four EPs of disco edits. Now they're getting ready to offer their first original recording together. Waiting For You To Call sees the group working with a number of collaborators, including Darren Morris, ROY INC and Luke Solomon, the latter of whom provides additional production (live strings, horns and drums). It looks to be issued both as a one-track, single-sided record and as a limited three-track 12-inch with alternate versions. "Our first release of original music is a nostalgic collaboration between good friends and eclectic tastes," Hillard says of the effort. "An '80s-inspired soul pop record that came from a love of early-morning dancing." Listen to a sample at Redeye. Tracklist A Waiting For You To Call feat. ROY INC Horse Meat Disco will release Waiting For You To Call on June 30th, 2017.
