  • Blackest Ever Black founder Kiran Sande is opening a record shop at Hackney Downs Studios in East London. The shop is opening for business on Friday, May 5th, with in-store performances from Beneath, Carla Dal Forno and Raime between 5 PM and 11 PM. Speaking to RA, Sande said he "has no idea" why he opened a record shop. "If I figure it out I'll certainly let you know." A Blackest Ever Black Facebook post reveals the shop will stock "hand-picked new and second-hand underground stuff more or less across the board but especially art-rock/DIY, (post-)punk, indie-pop, techno, dnb, garage, grime, industrial, darkwave, minimal synth, ambient, dub, jazz [and] avant-garde." The shop's exact address is: Hackney Downs Studios, 17 Amhurst Terrace, E8 2BT.
