Forest Swords' first release with Ninja Tune is a track called "The Highest Flood."
Apart from a dance performance score that he put out last year, this is Matthew Barnes' first new release since 2013's debut album, Engravings. In the meantime he's been working on a few different soundtrack projects, including a movie made entirely with drones called In The Robot Skies. Barnes says this new track "distills some of the frustration and hope that I've been working through over the past 18 months whilst making new material." "The Highest Flood" is a first taste of new music that Barnes is planning for release on Ninja Tune.
