  • Organisers of Victoria's Strawberry Fields festival have announced they will run a low income ticket program for their 2017 event. The four-day bush campout will be made more accessible this year with the introduction of the new scheme, which will see 500 tickets sold to low income earners at the reduced cost of $165. (Regular tickets cost between $250 and $300.) Organisers say they "understand that attending camping festivals can be an expensive exercise" and that the initiative "will aim to ensure that the cheapest tickets end up in the hands of those who have the lowest access to funds." Applications for the program are open until March 29th via the Strawberry Fields website. The festival is gearing up for its ninth edition this November 16th, with its first lineup announcement yet to come.
