  • Music From Memory's 20th release will be a new full-length from Suso Saiz, Rainworks. Last year, the Amsterdam-based label released Odisea, a compilation of Saiz's solo recordings from 1984 up to the present-day. Saiz recorded the six-track Rainworks album in January and February of last year, originally as part of a piece commissioned by a Canary Islands water company. Saiz drew inspiration for Rainworks from a documentary suggesting water molecules could have their own 'memory.' He says the music was made with the "possibility of an eternal being, changing its cyclical condition from solid to gaseous state, travelling through and between the Earth and the Sky, as a witness and keeper of the true history of Earth and Mankind," in mind. Rainworks follows a Music From Memory archival release from Dutch artist Richenel, as well as the Outro Tempo: Electronic And Contemporary Music From Brazil, 1978-1992 compliation. Listen to Rainworks cut "Nothing Ends."
