Resident Advisor returns to Sónar to host SonarLab stage in 2017

- Resident Advisor will return to Sónar festival in Barcelona in 2017 to co-curate the Saturday night programme at SonarLab. This will be the second time we've hosted an evening at SonarLab, one of the huge outdoor spaces at Sónar By Night. The RA lineup, which reflects the adventurous spirit of Sónar, is happening on June 17th. (This year's edition runs from June 15th through 17th.) Carl Craig will present his Versus Synthesizer Ensemble with five musicians, including his long-term collaborator Francesco Tristano, joining him onstage. Daphni and Hunee, two DJs known for the depth and diversity of their sets, play back-to-back for the first time—Marcel Dettmann and Dr. Rubinstein, two similarly respected selectors, will also perform together for the first time. The much-loved duo Beautiful Swimmers and t q d, the UK group comprising Royal T, DJ Q and Flava D, will be DJing, while Overmono, the impressive new project from Truss and Tessela, will perform live. Barcelona's Ylia will be on warmup duties. Away from the RA stage, some other acts have also joined Sónar's 2017 lineup. In addition to live shows from Arca (with Jesse Kanda), Evian Christ, Soulwax, Clark, Suzanne Ciani, Marie Davidson, Vitalic and Little Dragon, there will be DJ sets from Jon Hopkins, Marco Carola, Lena Willikens, Prins Thomas, RP Boo, Seth Troxler and Tiga, with Troxler and Tiga playing a six-hour set in the revamped SonarCar stage.
