  • MasterSounds has a new DJ mixer. Radius 2 is the result of a collaboration between MasterSounds founder Ryan Shaw and Union Audio's Andy Rigby-Jones, who helped design the PLAYdifferently Model 1 and the Xone series mixers. The two-channel, compact mixer was developed over a 12-month period in Cornwall. Rigby-Jones designed, built and tested the analogue electronics, while the metal outer casing was manufactured in a metalworks owned by the Shaw family. Each of the mixer's two channels features a high-pass filter, an aux send/return and inputs for RIAA and line signals. There's also a three-band master isolator and a pair of VU meters onboard. Every model is tested by Rigby-Jones before shipment. It comes in a choice of grey or black. A slightly more expensive version offering higher specifications is also available. MasterSounds Radius 2 is available from £1200.
