  • S U R V I V E's debut full-length will be reissued through Holodeck Records on November 18th. The four-piece synthesizer band has been plugging away in Austin, Texas since 2010, though they've experienced a massive surge in popularity as of late thanks to Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein’s soundtrack work for the hit Netflix original series Stranger Things. Patric Fallon said the 75-part score for that show hit on retro nostalgia while feeling "present, alive and strangely contemporary" in his review. The band also put out an LP called RR7349 on Relapse this year, and is currently out on tour. Amidst the hubbub they'll reissue their 2012 debut on Holodeck Records, an imprint run by members of the group. The album was originally put out in 2012 on Berlin-based Mannequin Records, and the new version will come with alternate artwork. A couple of the tracks off of S U R V I V E made it onto the soundtrack for the 2014 horror flick The Guest, and the label says the record "is a fusion of reserved minimalism and lucid hooks."
