- The first 12-inch in the Sector series is due out on the Dutch label in October.
Dekmantel has detailed the first of three new Sector 12-inches from Matrixxman.
The prolific San Francisco producer made his Dekmantel debut at the end of 2014 with the Nubian Metropolis EP. Since then he's come to Amsterdam to play at the Dekmantel festival two years in a row. Now they've announced a three-part EP series, Sector. The first one, out next month, is called Sector I: Rhythm, while Sector II is all about acid and Sector III is an exercise in polysynthesis.
Speaking about the first release, the label says: "Just because a track is entirely composed of drums does not mean it has to be lifeless or devoid of feeling. Given the right approach, drums can be symphonic and even tell an exciting tale in their own right."
