  • The first round of names for this year's Magnetic Fields Festival have been announced. The three-day event will hold its fourth edition at Alsisar Mahal, a luxury hotel built into a 17th-century palace. Its emphasis is on music as much as art, food and the venue itself, and their lineup is a mix of local favorites with international headliners. Floating Points is booked for a DJ set, and he'll be joined by Dorian Concept, Roman Flügel and Tectonic boss Pinch, plus Ninja Tune percussionist and composer Sarathy Korwar. Japanese producer Daisuke Tanabe is also on the bill alongside Bangalore-based RBMA alumnus Oceantied and Delhi Sultanate, a reggae and jungle selector from New Delhi. To get a sense of the experience, check out Aaron Coultate's review of the festival's 2015 edition.
