  • fabric has released a new statement today promising a review of their existing policies. Though the London nightclub holds fast to its zero tolerance drug policy and its labelling as a "beacon of best practices" by a District Judge last year, in the fallout over the recent deaths of two young clubbers, fabric has also promised to look over their own actions. "We know there are always areas where we can improve, and, following the recent tragic deaths," the club said over Facebook, "we are undertaking a thorough review of the lessons we can learn. As part of this we are independently reviewing all of our procedures to ensure that we have the best possible processes in place to keep our customers safe." fabric is currently closed while Islington Council undertakes its own review of the venue's license, with a decision due sometime in the next few weeks. The case has garnered widespread attention from the London music scene and beyond, including the capital's mayor, Sadiq Khan. The series of incidents unfolds as Khan works to keep his campaign promise to preserve and improve London's nightlife. Just today, the city posted a job ad for a "Night Czar" who would work with authorities to facilitate the night time economy. You can read fabric's statement in full here.
