  • Jeff Mills will hold a four-date residency at London's Barbican in June 2017. The residency is called From Here To There. The Detroit artist will play four shows in five days, starting on June 8th with a performance in the Milton Court Concert Hall called Life To Death And Back. According to the Barbican it'll see three dancers, choreographed by Michel Abdoul, "depict the 12 stages of reincarnation," with Mills providing a live score. The following night, June 9th, will see a screening of 1966 science-fiction film Fantastic Voyage featuring "an electronic cine-mix" from Mills. On the 10th he'll bring Light From The Outside World, in which his techno catalogue is reinterpreted by an orchestra, back to the Barbican Hall following a show in October of 2015. The residency wraps up on June 12th with the UK premiere of Planets. Again backed by a full orchestra, this time Mills "will take on the role of an unconventional soloist, introducing cosmic textures, atmospheres and special effects." For full details and ticket information head to the Barbican website. Listen to the 2014 RA Exchange with Mills.
