- It's the first of a series of updates to the affordable groovebox.
Novation has announced an update to its Circuit groovebox.
Responding to feedback from its user community, Novation has added some key improvements to last year's well-received piece of hardware. Users can now drag and drop up to 60 seconds of samples from a computer into Circuit with a dedicated browser called Circuit Components. A new Synth Editor made by Isontonik Studios gives you access to every parameter in Circuit's two polysynths, including a 20-slot modulation matrix, 14 "classic" waveforms and 16 wavetables. You can also save and share patches with other users. Circuit Librarian allows you to back-up your sessions online, giving you access to your work wherever internet access is available. A firmware update makes recording MIDI into Circuit's sequencer and controlling macros possible with an external controller.
