  • The sixth release on Nina Kraviz's Trip label has been announced. Titled When I Was 14, the seven-track conceptual album sees Trip return to a format its tried out a few times before: all the tracks relate to a particular story, and are presented as a "continuous sonic landscape." This time around, that story is a conversation between Kraviz and Trip illustrator Tombo, in which they discussed the way people form their opinions and criticisms. "All things are relative and all eyes are different," Kraviz says. "In the end it's important to grow and shape your opinion, make up your own." Newcomers and familiar names appear on When I Was 14. Core producers Bjarki and Barcode Population both contribute, along with veteran Icelandic producer and Thule label founder Biogen, and PTU. A track produced by Richard D. James in the early '90s also appears under his AFX alias, a little over one year after it went online via user48736353001's SoundCloud account. When I Was 14 lands as a gatefold vinyl package on May 20th.
