  • An official pre-party for Detroit's Movement festival will happen in Dallas on Saturday, April 9th. As Memorial Day weekend draws near, official Movement events are popping up all around the country. This one in Dallas, taking place at the Deep Ellum spot Red Light, is a collaboration with the club's Stereo On Strike night and local promoter Source 20/20. Houston techno veteran Andrei Morant headlines in the main room, with sets also coming from Source 20/20's James James Kelley and M Parks. Meanwhile, the rooftop is set to feature Convextion. The Dallas-based electro and techno favorite, real name Gerard Hanson, will have just finished some Europe touring, and later in April he'll reappear as E.R.P. for a new EP, Ancient Light. Another E.R.P. track will come via the new Texas Recordings Underground label, on a record also featuring Vectorvision—that artist is billed at this one, too, along with Stereo On Strike resident Wanz Dover. Tickets to the party are available on RA.
