  • There was a fire at Hamburg venue Golden Pudel over the weekend. The news was broken by local broadcaster NDR. There's no word yet on the cause of the fire, though Groove report that it's being treated as likely arson by fire investigators. Police say about 150 people were inside the club when the blaze took hold, and that everyone was able to escape uninjured. A statement from Hamburg police states that officers arrived on the scene after an extension between the club and a footbridge started burning. The flames then spread onto the roof of the club. The Golden Pudel was already facing an uncertain future. An ongoing dispute between the building's two owners meant that the building was set to go up for auction on April 20th, with club organizers saying they were "thinking long, hard and collectively" about the Pudel's future in the meantime.
