  • Fumiya Tanaka will relaunch his Untitled Records label with a 12-inch from Japanese producer Mikio Kaminakamura. Untitled Records was founded as a sublabel of Tanaka's more well-known techno operation Torema Records in 1995. Where Torema focused on percussive techno, Untitled Records specialised in subtler sounds, releasing a string of popular deep house records under Tanaka's Karafuto guise in 1999 and 2000 (several of those 12-inches remain highly sought-after today). The sound of the imprint was a sign of things to come: Tanaka, at the time a techno DJ, eventually turned his attention to minimal house, linking up with labels and producers like Perlon, Ricardo Villalobos and Thomas Melchior. Mikio Kaminakamura, a former drummer from Kawasaki, supplies Untitled's comeback release, a jacking three-tracker simply called Untitled Records 009. No exact release date has been set, but you can expect it to hit stores in the coming months. Listed to samples from the new record below.
