  • The producers of Coachella have announced details of a new festival, Panorama, with the first edition taking place this July at Randall's Island Park in New York City. Coachella's NYC event has been in the works for some time. Firm details have now emerged, with Goldenvoice, the company that runs Coachella, promising "three days of music, art, technology and local food offerings" at the inaugural event, which will run from July 22nd through 24th. Goldenvoice's Mark Shulman said: "We look forward to bringing Panorama to New York City and introducing a new festival that showcases today's top music acts. We're committed to creating an event that will provide significant benefits to New York City with the level of experience and meticulous attention to detail for which Goldenvoice is known." As Billboard points out, Goldenvoice are also looking to host an event at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens in the future, with Shulman saying, "We look forward to continuing our discussions with NYC Parks to create an event to take place in Queens in the future." The lineup for Coachella 2016, taking place in California this April, was announced last week, with a newly reformed LCD Soundsystem headlining.
