  • Wolfgang Voigt has adopted a new alias—Dieter Bowie—for his next record. The three-track 12-inch, titled Sound & Vision, sees Voigt taking inspiration from David Bowie. There's a backstory—"He [Dieter Bowie] lives in Berlin now and follows the path of a psychedelic techno dreamscape along the wall inside the head," reads the record's notes, adding: "He isn't prone at all to sentimentality or retro romanticism, but somewhere it's always 1977." Sound & Vision will be a vinyl-only release, due out via the Protest label on November 13th. The same day sees the release of Kompakt's Pop Ambient 16, which has been overseen by Voigt. You can stream the compilation over at NPR now. Tracklist 01. Sound & Vision (Karl Mix) 02. Sound & Vision (Dieter Mix) 03.
