- The techno mainstay and the design-minded musician will release an EP inspired by the Cronenberg movie next month.
Danny Passarella & Perc will release Videodrome on the former's Passarella record label this August 30th.
Passarella is known for his Passarella Death Squad t-shirt line, but he's also released a fair number of records under that name, including last year's Anthem / Just Like Sleep, which RA's Stephen Worthy called "a brave but devastating addition to any early-hours dance floor."
Perc supported that release, and for his second collaboration with the UK techno mainstay (following 2010's "Temperature's Rising"), the press release states the ambient, analog synthesizer soundscapes are "lavishly colourful... like an obsessive James Woods slithering into his television in the climactic sequence of Cronenberg’s horror classic Videodrome." You can stream the whole record via Bandcamp below. It's out digitally now, and a limited, blue vinyl version is on the way.
