  • A 12-inch featuring a DJ Kon edit and an unreleased version of Loose Joints' "Is It All Over My Face?" is due out on West End Records on July 20th. The 1980 Arthur Russell production, recorded with the legendary Bob Blank, was reissued in its original form last spring. For his remix, notable digger Kon was given access to the track's original stems and brought the male and female vocal versions together for a "duet" mix. West End also sourced an unheard 13-minute take, as well as a female vocal edition previously only available on a 7-inch promo. Listen to clips over at the Phonica website. Back in 2009, RA ran an excerpt from Tim Lawrence's book, Hold On To Your Dreams: Arthur Russell And The Downtown Music Scene, 1973-92, describing how "Is It All Over My Face?" was conceived and recorded.
