  • Loke Rahbek and Puce Mary will release The Female Form via Posh Isolation on April 17th. Though Rahbek joined up with Lust For Youth for International, an album which explored synth pop territory, as a member of Damien Dubrovnik and Vår he explores decidedly spikier sounds. His avant tendencies are underlined by his purveyorship of Posh Isolation, the Copenhagen shop and label that acts as a lynchpin for a Danish scene that includes Iceage, Lower as well as Rahbek's collaborator Puce Mary. The solo act helmed by Frederikke Hoffmeier has built a reputation in the power electronics scene with three full-lengths for Posh Isolation and a number of international tours. The Female Form was recorded in the duo's shared studio space at the Mayhem complex in Copenhagen, as well as the historic EMS facilities in Stockholm. It follows their 2011 LP The Closed Room. The label speaks on the ideas and influences behind the experimental seven-track album: "Thematically the record deals with intimacy and the (im)possible relation of the sexes. It is obvious that the two artists have grown vastly, both as composers and lyricists since their last collaborative effort. Still, it feels like The Female Form follows where The Closed Room left [off], walking a path in between industrial, drone and electro acoustic music." Check out two tracks off The Female Form below.
