- The American artist will release his third full-length through Innovative Leisure in May.
Nosaj Thing's next album will drop on May 5th.
LA producer Jason Chung was originally associated with the city's sprawling, hip-hop inspired beat scene, but he's since struck out in a more cerebral direction. Fated follows 2013's Home, which also landed on Innovative Leisure.
"The last record took out so much of me. I just wanted to go back to simplifying and overthinking so much. It was a battle," Chung says. "The soul of a song, the essence of a song—whatever you want to call it—should be simple." That's the idea on the new one, which the label says has "an unusual directness," stripping down Chung's sound to the bare elements. Guest appearances come from Whoarei and Chance The Rapper, whose contribution, "Cold Stares," you can stream below.
