- The New York label's 20th anniversary celebrations continue with the re-release of some of its best-known tunes, including global hit "The Funk Phenomena."
Some classic Armand Van Helden material will be reissued by Henry Street Music next month.
The famed New York house outlet is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year by re-releasing some of its most cherished material in partnership with Clone Records. (They set the wheels in motion back in March with a 12-inch from JohNick, AKA label founder Johnny D. and Nicky P.)
Now, they're reissuing some vintage Armand Van Helden. The 2014 version of Old School Junkies contains four tracks that originally spread across two 12-inches—1995's Old School Junkies and '96's Old School Junkies Pt. 2—including global hit "The Funk Phenomena." The label is also reissuing Mateo & Matos's long out-of-print 12-inch from 1995, The No Props EP.
