- A new mixtape, out later this month, offers collaborations with Kathleen Hanna and Katie Got Bandz.
UNO NYC will drop Mykki Blanco's new mixtape, Gay Dog Food, on October 28th.
The recording, which touches on "punk, noise, experimental industrial and Riot Grrrl," includes collaborations with Kathleen Hanna, Cities Aviv, Katie Got Bandz and Cakes Da Killa. Recorded over the course of an ambitious touring schedule that took Blanco from far eastern Russia to London, Berlin and Brooklyn, the mixtape also includes production credits from Gobby, Sasha DZA, James K. and Supreme Cuts among others. It leads up to his first official LP, Michael, to be released in the spring of 2015. "After [touring with] Death Grips, I swore that my next release would be electronic music that give you the feeling of a hard punk rock show," he told Redeye Chicago. "Gay Dog Food has that." You can stream "Moshin' In the Front," featuring Cities Aviv, below.
