Trouw announces its closing date

- Amsterdam club Trouw has revealed details of its closing date, with a final party locked in for Saturday, January 3rd next year. It's long been known that Trouw, the cherished club in Amsterdam's east, would close at the end of 2014. The venue has always been living on borrowed time—its initial two-year lease has been extended twice thanks to delays on the development of its home, a disused newspaper printing works on Wibautstraat. The people behind Trouw are keeping quiet on whether a new venue will emerge elsewhere in Amsterdam—the focus for now is on the club's remaining run of parties. (This includes RA's event during Amsterdam Dance Event on October 18th.) Trouw's official farewell program will begin on December 24th and run for 11 days.
