  • Blawan and Untold have been lined up to perform at the London Modular Revue on Friday, June 13th. Organisers have labelled the event "more of an experiment than a party." It'll run from 11 PM through 6 AM at Bloc's venue on Autumn Street in Hackney Wick, East London, with "no turntables, CD players, laptops or any standard MIDI device." It's being overseen by local shop London Modular, who have formed the London Modular Alliance. The alliance comprises the shop's three directors and select clients. The basic idea is that they occasionally get together to perform live, and this is their second showcase. The event will be split into two sections. First, each artist will take turns to perform solo for the first part of the night, which runs from 11 PM through 2 AM. There will then be a synced six-way jam from 2 AM until close. Blawan's love of modular synthesis is well-known—we recently caught up with the Yorkshireman and his Karenn partner, Pariah, as part of our Machine Love series. Untold, meanwhile, has been touring his live modular-heavy show this year. (He recently spoke to XLR8R about his favourite modular components.) They'll be joined on the night by DeFeKT and the London Modular crew. Tickets to the event are available here on RA.
