  • UK experimental outpost Blackest Ever Black has just launched a new cassette-only imprint called Krokodilo Tapes. The new venture comes after a breakout year for Blackest Ever Black, which grabbed the #8 spot on our top 2012 labels poll. As Juno Plus reports, the first release on Krokodilo Tapes, At The Refectory, comes from Family Sex, a four-person group composed of "a teenage Karl O’Connor and friends." Sourced from sessions recorded in 1986 and 1987, the cassette should (for those able to secure a copy) offer a look into O'Connor's early musical pursuits, well before his hard-edged techno productions under the name Regis earned him international acclaim. Clay Ruby, a prolific producer also known as Burial Hex, has authored the second release on Krokodilo Tapes under a new moniker, Feral Love. Entitled Precession Dub, his effort is billed as "two extended studies in astral-industrial dub." Both At The Refectory and Precession Dub are available only in editions of 50. Tracklist Family Sex - At The Refectory A Lunchtime Side B Evening Side Feral Love - Precession Dub A Precession Dub B Stranger Version At The Refectory and Precession Dub are available now on Krokodilo Tapes.
