  • James Blake has announced the first details of his sophomore album. Overgrown will be introduced at 19:30 GMT this evening on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show through the airing of first single "Retrograde." The track will be posted shortly after on the UK artist's YouTube channel and will be available to buy as of next Monday, February 11th. As for the album itself, details are scant at this stage. A press release attached to the announcement describes "Retrograde" as a combination of his "heart-piercing songwriter side with a skyscraper of soaring electronics," while Overgrown is said to include "reinterpretations of both hip-hop and house." Although it's unclear which label will release the record, April 8th has been given as its release date. The album will drop two years after Blake achieved crossover success with his self-titled debut album. Blake plays London's ICA on Tuesday 26th February. Tickets will be available as of this Friday, 8th February at 10 AM.
