  • Bedrock will have its next anniversary party at Fire and Lightbox on October 6th. Naturally, the party will be headlined by John Digweed, the seasoned DJ who founded Bedrock way back in the late '90s. The rest of the lineup, however, looks beyond Bedrock's usual cast of characters. Aside from Digweed, its biggest name is Apparat, the idiosyncratic Berlin producer whose albums on Shitkatapult! and Mute Records have made him a crossover hit in recent years. Though probably best known for his live performances (often with a full band), Apparat will be DJing this time around. The night's live performance will come from Amirali, an Iranian-Canadian artist who joined the Crosstown Rebels roster this year with In Time, a reflective and stylistically open-ended debut album. Rounding off the bill are Rex Club residents Maxime Dangles and Electric Rescue, who will play back-to-back. Many more artists are still to be announced. Tickets to Bedrock Anniversary with John Digweed & Apparat will be available Friday here on RA.
