Different Fountains Editions

About

  • Different Fountains began as a side project based in Brussels, where Michael Langeder and Bernardo Risquez rented an abandoned office building which is used as a recording and performing cruiseship. In 2010 they released their first EP in a very limited CD-R edition and coined the terms ‘soulcore junkpop’ to describe their sound. Coherence in diversity – they made a point of having each piece as different as possible. For their live performances they often experiment with unconventional setups using body projections, dancers or nothing at all. “Almost everything” is the proclaimed title of their current live show and will eventually be released as a full length album in the end of 2012. Further plans include a series of split 7″ releases on their self titled label “Different Fountains Editions”, a frequent radio broadcast, imaginary audio comics and an investigation about the possibility to use network decay as a productive force (‘fading layered music’).
