Translation Recordings is an electronic music label based in the Washington DC metropolitan area devoted to showcasing the diverse sounds of the 170 BPM spectrum.
Translation operates without borders, in close partnership with a cohort of international talent from across the globe to deliver music that ranges from atmospheric and soulful to dark and heavy.
With a catalog that dates back to 2005, music from Translation has aired on BBC Radio 1 (UK), Rinse FM (UK), and Dinamo FM (Turkey) and has been supported by some of the drum & bass scene's top DJs to include Fabio, Grooverider, Bailey, Flight, and dBridge.
The future is bright for Translation. Forthcoming efforts will venture into other tempos and territories, new creative partnerships will be forged, but the ethos of the label will remain the same--to push universal grooves with depth and character, and stay true to the craft.
