In a time and era when being a DJ is probably one of the coolest jobs one can have, Greenhorn; a new record label is giving young talents a platform to join the cool, hip and ever growing Electronic club scene. Andrea Engels (owner of Blufin and Yellow Tail) alongside Berlin DJ of 20 years; Namito, put together their years of experience and contacts to create this label; a launching pad for young talents to help them establish themselves in the Electronic club music scene, not as 'one hit wonders' but as long lasting artists. Namito's homeland; Iran is home to many talented underground artists which have been silenced by the Islamic Regime, Greenhorn wants to give a chance to those artists to release their work and share it with a world beyond their borders. Greenhorn hopes that this will motivate young Iranians to be more creative.
And if you were wondering where the name of the label comes from all you need to know is that Namito is a supporter of the Green Iranian Freedom Movement which started in June 2009. So that is where Green comes from and we leave it up to you to guess where the horns come from ;)
