About

  • David Phillips started the Global Ritmico label in early 2004. Global Ritmico began as a framework for David’s love of a wide variety of sounds, ranging from progressive to minimal to tribal. After his first two releases on the label in Switzerland, David made a ‘versus EP’ with Swiss DJ Steven S. But it was with Global Ritmico’s third release, David’s first album, that something happened nobody was expecting: Global Ritmico jumped to the number two spot of the internationally known Balance Record Pool chart. This meant that all the big DJs of the dance scene were exposed to and playing the release including Chris Fotier, Steve Lawler, DJ Chus, Andy Hughes, and Martin Eyerer to name a few. Release number four was licensed for the mix CD series “Balance” from Australia, mixed by Chris Fortier. In the beginning of 2006 David found his complement, welcoming Marcel Best and his fresh productions into the Global Ritmico family. They began with a revival of the Royal Rumble Series, a release that was also charted in the Balance Record Pool. In the meantime Global Ritmico began to go digital, making all new releases available in many of the world¹s well-known online stores. Releases for the future are planned with international artists and Global Ritmico will go on to deliver fresh and interesting sounds your way, so watch out for them!
