Akashik Records was established in 2007, the brainchild of DJ and producer Chris Firenze. The label focuses on bringing the best local talent in techno and tech house, with occasional progressive elements to tie it all together. Nothing is too in your face, but never so 'minimal' as to be boring. The label reformed in late 2009 as a pseudo-netlabel, releasing all music through it's own web store at http://store.akashik-records.com/ adopting a "name your own price" philosophy. The reason behind this is that the ideas, concepts, recordings and every other component of our releases already are, and have always been, a part of the universal knowledge base (a.k.a. the akashik records), it is all simply information that has always been available. Akashik Records takes on the responsibility to make this music readily available to YOU.
