Sissel Wincent starts her own label KBK REC with debut EP by HUUMO. ‘Stress Lust’ will come out on November 29th.
After a couple EPs on Peder Mannerfelt Produktion and one on SHXCXCHCXSH’s label Rösten, it felt quite natural for Sissel to set up her own outlet KBK REC, standing for Kör Bara Kör which could translate to ‘Go Just Go’, to share music and non music things without compromise.
First release comes from fellow Swedish multi-disciplinary artist HUUMO, real name Andreas Huumonen, locally involved in many projects and studio/art collective Ulvsunda Bastusällskap. It was made after a two month break from making music, following his intuition to make something repetitive and stripped down with in-your-face banging drums, coated in metal. ’’I’m drawn to the more obscure sounds that i come up with in the process of just messing around with an instrument or sampling. It’s like a fun challenge taking the noisy stuff and turning it into a beat or an atmosphere. To simplify: If I can dance to it, then it’s HUUMO.” From ‘Stress Lust’ down to ‘Be My Dance’ you get high energy loopy stripped back kick music with pitched vocals. Nonsensical but emotional.
