Mechanical is a New York-based label interested in audio ephemera: the unfiltered 'as-is' grit of live recordings and improvised studio sessions from musicians' archives + stray digital singles. Established in Queens, NY April 2019 by Jakub Alexander (Heathered Pearls) and Erik Finsrud (Norik), Mechanical's format closes the distance between the environments of process and output. Home to raw, exploratory takes and one-off expressions.
