On two islands—one endless, one shaky, a small collective of artists have, like flotsam, been washing their musical vibes into the ears and hearts of the people who live there for more than a decade. Their music has dazzled and transfixed, shown them mega-pockets of electronic madness around the world, and turned friends into family along the way. For this bunch of bro’s—who have been steadily releasing on revered labels around the globe, the next logical step was to bring it all home—to create a place to tell their stories; to share their Beat & Path.
Nurturing talent from across New Zealand and Australia, Beat & Path is harnessing these musical strengths to create a label of international distinction. The players behind it have shared friendship, sound systems, studio sessions, and the culture of eating brunch with Bloody Mary's at 4pm after all of these things aplenty. Now, Beat & Path becomes the chronicle in which they tell their stories from, all bundled up in a way where local, fair trade, and organic play a major role. And, like a gang of kids hanging out in a secret treehouse which they spent all summer building together—they carry the spirit that the night will never end and the adventure will only get better.
