About

  • Harry Romero likes to think that he has three particularly prodigious musical children on Bambossa: ‘Tania’, ‘Night @ The Black’ and of course ‘I Go Back’, his Robert Owens-featuring vocal house classic that still sounds as fresh as the day it was first let out into the world. See, Bambossa is a tripped-out, vocal and dub- loving house label that’s now twenty years deep and while those three have all been remixed of late (by none other than Honey Dijon and Kolsch in the case of ‘Tania’ and ‘I Go Back’), there are plenty more classics in Harry’s fishing bag, like ‘What Happened’, ‘Warped’, ‘So Lonely’ and ‘Pa Ra Ra’ with Erick Morillo. Like its label boss Harry, it’s a label that’s been inspired by New York clubs like Centro Fly and Sound Factory as well as his home in New Jersey, where Harry still lives, breathes and makes beats at his infamous studio, The Butcha Shop. And with a slew of new releases incoming for 2020 (including a brand new Harry Romero remix of Basement Jaxx – ‘Romeo’), the best is yet to get.
